Hey guys! Today I have 6 more new Catrice polishes for you. There are more that might end up in my stash, but these made me more curious about how they would be on the nail! My swatches are with 2 coats of each polish and again without top coat, but I can tell you straight away that most of these didn't have the high gloss finish that Catrice claims their new formula has, it still feels like only some have it. I don't mind that so much though, but because they mentionned it several times in their press release, it got my attention :)
And with most bottles I still prefer the new brush over the old one, but I had a few bottles here that had a slightly wonky brush. And somehow the hairs of those brushes felt much harder, those weren't nice to use! So with those bottles it wasn't an improvement at all I'm afraid. But oh well, once it's on the nail it's not the brush that matters anyway, so let's have a look at the actual polish =)

First up is one of my favorites, but see what I mean about the finish not being glossy? This baby definitely needs top coat. But smooth or not, it's still a great color with beautiful shimmer!

The Monkey Gets Funky

The Monkey Gets Funky |
I wasn't sure about this one, but I ended up liking it a lot! This color looks a bit different depending on the light, from a dark, warm brown to a lighter, rose/brown color. Perfect for Fall or when you're looking for a classy look!

Mint Me Up

Mint Me Up |
Mint Me Up has to be one of the most original colors of them all. This mint green with golden shimmer has very small copper flecks, although they ain't as visible on the nail. In fact, I looked at the nailwheel in the store and I didn't even see them at all there! (I never use just the wheels to choose my polish, but if you do, I'd say pick the bottles from the display and have a look at them as well to see more details!) The flecks are most visible in the bottle on my pics, although there's a larger one on my pinkie, and they're like a surprise on the nail that gives this slightly speckled look at times. And look, there's the gloss! Mmm shiny ^^

Oh My Goldness!

Oh My Goldness! |
This one was hard to capture, on my photos this does look a bit golden, especially under lamplight. But if you see this in real life, it looks much more copper! It's darker, more orange, and I wouldn't call it gold. Picked it up in the hopes of it working for stamping, but after applying it, hmmm nope it's too sheer, might still work but I'm sure it won't be as good as I hoped.

Bricky Mouse

Bricky Mouse |
Bricky here was the one with the worst brush of them all, it was one of the brushes that felt way too hard, and in my case, the hairs were grouped in 2 directions, ugh! Rose colors like this one often do feel a bit dated, but I have my moments where I like wearing them. As you can see, the color switches a bit between more rose and more peachy, probably because of the shimmer. Thought I'd like this one more, although I'm sure the application has something to do with that as well!

Goldbusters

Goldbusters over Mint Me Up |
And lastly we have Goldbusters, a golden shimmery layering polish with flecks. I used 1 coat of it, as you can see it gives plenty effect like that! I thought it would be a bit more buildable, but it's really a layering polish.

And here it is over black, again 1 coat. I'm not too fond of these sheer layering polishes, and I'm not feeling this combo with black, but I think a black base always shows well how a polish looks.

So there we have it, the second part of my swatches! Personal favorites are Squeeze Me, Purple Reign, Mint Me Up, Petrolpolitan and The Monkey Gets Funky. What do you think of them? :)
Take care!
