Howdy! Femme Fatale Cosmetics will have yet another presale soon, this time it's a collection that's inspired by Grimm's Snow White story. The collection has 7 polishes and will be up for presale next week!
Starting with one of my favorites: Art Of Witchcraft. A teal base with strong red flash and tons of holographic sparkle, that covered in 2 smooth coats.
What's not to love! ♥
Next we have Glass Coffin, a light purple base with a red/green flash, but the red isn't so visible while the green flash is stronger irl than on my pics.
I started swatching this collection earlier this week, but wasn't feeling well, so I stopped. Then I got sick and didn't swatch the others until a few days later, but this was one of the first I swatched. I guess I must've been more foggy in my head than I thought at that moment, because it wasn't until I started sorting the pictures, that I realized this is a thermal, oops! :D While swatching I thought it was the lighting or my camera being weird, lol!
I don't have proper hot/cold pics of this one, and I'm sorry for that, but my head still isn't in the mood for more polish and remover fumes. I haven't seen it fully warm yet either, so I'm not fully sure on the colorshift (I think it'll go further blue/green instead of purple), although here you can see quite a nice difference already! I'll swatch this again sometime, but wanted to show it now anyway :)
Glass Coffin covered in 3 thin coats and dries up matte, not chalkboard matte but velvet matte, lovely! Most of my swatches are with top coat, because I wanted to see what that did for the shimmer, but here you can see it without.
Weed In Her Heart is the polish that covered the least for me, this is 4 thin coats, any less showed more visible nail lines. I think 3 will be fine too to get this result, if you apply thicker coats. It's a squishy green, leaning blue, with strong purple shimmer.
Now Femme Fatale Cosmetics is very good at making polish that's a bit beyond my camera, because there's SO much awesome stuff going on in a lot of these, but this one beats them all! My photos show Bodice Lace way too bright purple, it's a bit darker purple with a hint of grey, packed with magenta pink glitter and tiny colorful flakies.
This is 3 coats, and as with all of these polishes, the application was smooth and easy. No glitters piling on the tips, there's plenty glitters in the polish, and 1 layer of top coat is enough.
I used 3 coats of Mirror, Mirror, On The Wall... but 2 slightly thicker would've been fine too. It's a pale green with strong pink/purple shimmer (gotta love those FFC shimmers!) and lots of small and larger hexagonal, silver holographic glitter.
Even though it's absolutely packed with glittery goodness, it doesn't dry as gritty as you might expect, and 1 layer of top coat is enough to give a smooth finish.
Oh my... Another favorite, Poisoned Apple, another polish that covered in 2 easy coats. A beautiful teal blue base with a red/green duochrome effect on top, filled with oh so tiny silver sparkles. Yum!
The 2nd thermal in this collection is Who Is Fairest Of Them All?, which is an almost glowing white (warm) to hot pink (cold) polish, with blue flash and small holographic glitter. No matter how hard I tried, I could not get my hands cold enough to take pictures quick enough and fully show the pink. Normally I have fairly cold hands, but even sticking them in the freezer and holding icecream in my hands wasn't a match for my sicky warmth, haha!
Macroshot of medium warm pink color.
This was about as cold as I could get it while swatching, but nevertheless, I think it shows well that this is an obvious thermal! The pink shows almost neon here, which isn't the case irl, but that blue shimmer confuzed my camera I guess :)
When I think of Snow White, I'd personally think of different colors (I think of her dress and hair straight away), but that doesn't make these any less beautiful of course! This Snow White inspired collection sure has some fairy tale polishes in it :) FFC really knows how to create magic in a bottle with their shimmers and colorflashes and sparkles ♥ The presale is from April 1-5 on the Femme Fatale Cosmetics website, and you can find the FFC pretties in various webshops as well.
I hope you'll have a great weekend and thank you for visiting my blog :)
